Description

Cedar Flat ("CARMA") is a really nice site! I set up at the original array site instead of the campgrounds--excellent horizon and very isolated.

Having problems guiding this rig, so decided to go dangerous with 10 min. unguided subs. I'm seeing what might be an indication that the mount needs a grease job. With the iOptron 360 tri-pier, the scope has been consistently good in modeling, so with average to better seeing, I went for unguided exposures which worked well more than half the time. Virtually all subs were used. The Oiii subs were 2x2 binned, so I ran those through PI alongside the Ha and Sii subs (WBPP) to the point of cropping/NSG/stacking (the Oiii's were not cropped here), then took to 1x1 using Resample (Lanczos3). WBPP had magically aligned the subs using an Sii reference, so I found I could use the same crop after stacking/resampling the Oiii as was used with the Ha+Sii.

I don't know what is proper processing for working a mix of 2x2 and 1x1 subs. This sequence seemed to be OK, but suggestions are welcome.

Image should be using sRGB.
