Description

While waiting for my main target to rise in the sky (and for the wind to die down), I saw Orion overhead and thought, why not try some lucky imaging in between the wind gusts and see if I can capture Trapezium with some short exposures?

I took a whole bunch of 10 second exposures and threw out a whole bunch of blurred ones.  I was happy to find that after eliminating the mess, I still had enough leftover to integrate!

Here we have an examination of the core of M42, the Trapezium cluster, with surrounding nebulosity.
