Description

The IC 1284 Nebula in the constellation Sagittarius, a beautiful area of the night sky full of stars. It is located right next to the Small Sagittarius Star Cloud, in this image the top left corner. It was an unknown target for me so I didn’t know much to expect. I knew the nebula was rich in Ha so I went with an HaRGB image and I think it was the perfect approach

It took me about 12h of integration time across different filters to produce this image. As usual in my acquisition strategy the Ha was acquired close to home in light polluted skies, which is totally fine, and the RGB in pristine dark skies in Alentejo region.
