Description

The sea kayaker in me really hates Daylight Savings Time.  I either have to put lights on my kayak, or I have to be done by 4:30p here in New England, USA.  The astrophotographer in me, loves DST!!  I was up and running by 5:30p!  Now, this time of year I only have a select group of targets that I can see from where I live that early. I have trees to the NE, and West, and have to wait till later for northern targets to show up over the roof of the house where I live.  So polar targets are a good place to start.  I find the Bubble Nebula fascinating, and have imaged it before, but with new found skills I wanted to try again!  I am very happy with this image.  I only had about 4 hours as I had to work very early the next day, and I do not have a set it and forget kind of setup.   I have to monitor my setup.  Clouds came in right at the 4 hour mark so it was perfect.  I did have some focus drifting so had to get ride of about 12 images.  Overall a great and unexpected clear night!  Clear Skies
Mark
