Description

really wanted to image that comet. sadly the weather was bad for me the whole dec. and January.
once the weather turned good the full moon was shining, but as this is a once in 50.000 years chance I still tried to capture it.

it was really difficult for me to bring out the weaker tail of the comet. it was clearly visible over a large portion of the picture in the starless image
of the comet stack but was almost invisible with all the stars in the frame. I had to reduce the size of the stars quite a bit to make it visible.
the fact that there is quite a lot happening (deep sky) in this image also brought me a lot of trouble. I of course wanted the comet to be the
main thing in the image but at the same time thought it would be nice if a bit of the deep sky stuff in this region is visible.
