Description

Man this was a tough one to process.  I took this over two nights (almost 8 hours of data), focusing pretty much just on OIII trying to capture the squid, but it is faint.  I had to do several light stretches using star mask, then had to due some color select to try and pull out the blue.  I have seen some really good images of this and I would rank mine as just in the OK category, I probably need a lot more data, which I might try to get.  I pretty much just focused on bringing out the OIII and didn't do a lot with the Ha.

he Giant Squid Nebula cataloged as Ou4, and Sh2-129 also known as the Flying Bat Nebula.  The Flying Bat refers to the Ha nebula, but I don't see a bat.  Most experts estimate now that the Squid Nebula does lie inside the Ha Bat Nebula and is around 2,300 light years away.

Title: Added more OIII and reprossed

Description: Once again, I did not edit this as much as the first one. I didn't have to do as much to bring out the Squid. The squid is a little dimmer in this image, but if you zoom in and compare the two, I think this one looks more natural. Plus I just think the whole image and star field looks better.
