Description

Hi everyone, this photo shows the Bok Globules present in the Rosette Nebula, also known as NGC 2237. The Bok Globules are areas of the nebula that are much denser with gas and especially dust, they appear as dark filaments no larger than 3/4 light years away and are among the coldest areas of space with temperatures around -260° C. Mysterious objects that hide their contents. We know they are star nurseries. The image was taken on two successive evenings, with the technique of short exposures without guidance. 30 second shots for a total of 3:15 hours of exposure, bin2. Newton 150 reduced to f4.75 with coma corrector and Baader UHC-L filter, Asi 585mc planetary camera. Processing with DSS, Siril, Topaz Denoise and Gimp. From Pomigliano D'Arco, average age of the Moon 18 days (waning gibbous).
