Description

NGC4244 is an edge-on loose spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici, and is part of the M94 Group or Canes Venatici I Group, a galaxy group relatively close to the Local Group containing the Milky Way.  It is located 14.1 million light-years away from Earth.

I hesitated to post this as I did not get a lot of hours to do it justice but here it is anyway!  Galaxies are tough for me in my location due to the LP and, perhaps more importantly, the varying sky brightness across the meridian due to strong LEDs in the southeast sky relative to the north and northwest sky.  So, gradients become a big problem doing broadband images.  Despite all of that, I am relatively pleased with the outcome.
