I have enjoyed photography for many years and and got interested in Milky Way landscape photography in 2022. One evening I was out at 2:30AM with a friend taking Milky Way shots and he showed me his new star tracker. We worked together to try it out for the first time and he got some 90s tracked exposures of M31 on his Nikon. When I saw the raw images on his camera display I was hooked. I purchased an iOptron Sky Guide Pro and started backyard DSO photography shortly thereafter using my Canon R5 with my Sigma100-400mm zoom lens. In 2023 I was able to buy a dedicated telescope, mount and system and am enjoying challenging myself to learn as much as I can about this new hobby.
