I first became interested in astronomy when I was 11 or 12 along with my best friend when his grandma bought him a pretty nice GOTO scope. It blew our minds that you could pick an object and this thing would point at it and track it for you. Being so young though, we never really figured out how to make it work, but we would spend hours on the computer locked onto “Starry Night Backyard”. Just seeing which satellites were out and learning the sky. It was fascinating to us. The years went by and life had many ups and downs, then, just as Covid-19 was getting a grip on the world, I finally had the funds to feed my interest in the hobby. I started with a CPC1100 and a set of eyepieces, then quickly learned that cameras can be attached to telescopes. I was immediately hooked to astrophotography when the first image on M13 came up on my canon 60d lcd screen. I then learned I needed much different equipment to be a serious imager. There was a lot to learn about everything as we all know. This journey led me to the rig I currently have, and like all of us, I’m constantly working to improve my images. Every image I put up here has my heart and soul put into them.
