I was a broadcast meteorologist on Savannah TV from 1980 to 2016. I became interested in weather when I was less than 5 years old. I became interested in astronomy when my uncle bought my brothers and me a small refracting telescope when I was 7. I majored in physics at Murray State University in Kentucky with a minor in astronomy and continued my education at the graduate school of meteorology at St. Louis University.
