the 9-5 commuter job starts to really take its toll on a photographer during winter months, but when there's no light left in the day i'm learning to love what's in the sky at night. i've invested in an astro-tech 72ed refractor and a celestron cg-4 mount, polar finder & motor drive, along with the basic odds and ends (t ring/adapter, diagonals and eyepieces, etc.). so far, it's been a steep learning curve for an english major a few years removed from math and science, but i've enjoyed the challenge.
