I'm a retired (2020) petroleum engineer.
I got into astrophotography in mid 2021 because of the technical challenge and the incomparable beauty of the universe. The fact that I can see the image of a deep sky object that is thousands or even millions of light years away in my monitor amazes me every single time. I still have a lot to learn both in technique and image post-processing.
