I have been astro-imaging since 2010. I am legally blind and have severe night blindness caused by Retinitis Pigmentosa. Although I'm unable to see most stars these days my central vision is still okay so I can set up my mount & telescope and my wife helps me with the polar alignments. I started out with an Orion Sirius EQ-G mount, William Optics Megrez 90mm refractor and a Canon 40D camera. Through the years I've upgraded my equipment to a Astro-Physics Mach1 mount, SkyWatcher Esprit 120mm refractor and a SBIG STF-8300m camera.
For processing I initially used a variety of sw tools but for the last three years I only use Pixinsight. It has a steep learning curve but I find it does a great job once you figure it out.
