Description

Image taken with Gso 10" f/3.8, 965mm.

This is one of the image I wanted most of all to shot, but in the past years for some reasons I wasn't able to get it.

I only tried 6 years ago, in the beginning of my hobby, with disappointing results.

Finally, this time i was ready to try to get this incredible beauty of the Sky with my gear, but the weather didn't cooperate much: i had only 7 nights in more than one month, and one of them also with full Moon (at 12° degrees from the Triplet...). Anyway i went for it, using Halpha in that situation, to don't waste any clear night. Also, a couple of nights were wasted because of problems with the pc / gear that stopped to work without a reason. And I met the usual limit of my LP sky, but (except for Ha) I decided to go with Uv-IR.

This is also my first image HaRGB by the way.

For all those reasons I was a little bit anxious for final result, until I finished. I'm glad I could bring at home this image, which gave me fun and the magic of trying to do the best to see beyond our skies.

I still can't decide which version to choose: the horizontal or vertical.

(Please note that 'original' image and 'B' image, are the same - just different orientation).

I like more the horizontal, but probably I'll go with the vertical because it seems the details come out better on the screen. And... it seems to me a galactic face?

Thanks for watching!
