Description

I recently upgraded my mount going from a Celestron CGX to an iOptron CEM70EC2. I have my C11 sitting on the iOptron mount pretty much permanently. About two weeks ago I switched up my imaging train swapping out the Hyperstar for  the 0.7X reducer to get ready for galaxy season. When I started my polar alignment routine, the mount stopped and I received a message indicating the dec board was "disconnected". I played around with everything to no avail. The next day I emailed iOptron and after checking everything, I sent the dec board in to be evaluated. The good news is that it was faulty and I have a new one on the way.

Being that I live in the Midwest and my clear nights with decent seeing is limited, I decided to put my ES 127ED refractor on my CGX mount and see what I could go after, I decided on this target. In using my SCT for so long, I actually forgot how great refractors are for imaging! I plan to bring this scope out more often.

In the end, I wish I had more integration time as I think I pushed the data a tad too much.
