Description

In the constellation Vulpecula, the Dumbbell Nebula[b] [/b](also known as the Apple Core NebulaMessier 27, and NGC 6853) is a planetary nebula  (nebulosity surrounding a white dwarf)  The nebula is about 1360 light years away. Discovered, by Charles Messier in 1764.
