Description

C/2023 P1 has certainly brightened since the last time I saw it. I'd estimate just over mag 4 for the comet this morning with a fuzzy green core seen using my 7x50s binoculars in the dawn light although I only managed to get the one proper frame as the other shorter exposures are having trouble stacking.

The tail of the comet seems to extend a fair distance away from it even in this one exposure, about a degree or so.

It was quite easy to find the comet despite the lower elevation but of course the lower elevation meant it was harder to do proper exposures without blowing them out.
