When a massive star runs out of thermonuclear fuel, it implodes, forming a dense stellar core called a neutron star. The outer layers of the star collapse toward the neutron star then bounce outward in a supernova explosion. Studies with the Chandra X-ray Observatory suggest that the explosion may have created a spinning neutron star known as a [url=https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.skyatnightmagazine.com%2Fspace-science%2Fwhat-is-a-pulsar-a-complete-guide-to-spinning-neutron-stars%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR0PqgT2VcQ1GqOeYIehJbbW0Y3cmS6xGAzIyC-RqxirGpNi3HG537QxcWA&h=AT1JnOXCV5RX-rebErEyQj7XF8JGk4O19IM-94hd4TuO6WgY6EntixI_VEuhJ6OQb4gfAPLBZB1PCgrL4n7E3n_XhPpcdveQsveJVLiMSuslzEmrPoj50P6RI7PbBsrFNraeBC1a_ljGMqBtXw&__tn__=-UK-R&c[0]pulsar[/url] in the southern edge of the nebula
