Description

A few evenings have looked promising for some DSO work with galaxy season in full swing. Sadly these are short lived, I feel as if I’m living on the cusp…

Lunar makes a fine sight with conjunctions with Jupiter, now all but invisible in the gloamin, and Venus still high and bright. It is fun observing the earth’s shadow retreating as the moon grows ever brighter (and obliterates those elusive DSOs). Here, Day 4 in the cycle still showing the horns or cusps of the crescent moon.

Just 10 exposures (out of 50) aligned and stacked in Nebulosity, with contrast and a little ‘star tightening’ to tidy up the edges.
