Description

Cite Zambiadarkskies: "M78.  Just over 11 hours.  FF65 at native 416mm, 533mc pro with L3 IR/UV cut filter, 300s subs at gain 100.  Am5 mount autoguided with the usual suspects.  120mm mini and 30mm guidescope. Controlled with ASI Air mini.  Class 1 skies. "

I am getting tired of OSC images, a lot of additional processing needed. Sliced image into R, G, B channels, stretched histograms in Siril for each channel separately (stretching whole image gives a weird color balance), removing background gradient for each channel, mixed all channels as RGB, sharpening and noise reduction, saturations, brightness etc..... Narrowband mono images are much easier to handle, but they have their own receipt to cook

Siril, Fitswork, AstroSurface
