Description

Sharpless 2-188 The Shrimp Nebula. It is sometimes called the Dolphin Nebula when presented in a different orientation. This unusual tiny planetary nebula is seen in the Constellation Cassiopeia. It is another ancient planetary nebula that is being distorted by the high velocity motion of its central star through surrounding interstellar matter. In this case the direction of the central dwarf star is toward the brightest part of the nebula.
