Description

We all know it wasn't a good year for the Perseids, with the full moon. But it was particularly bad here - cloudy skies for three days around the peak. This is from two practice sessions four and three days before peak; around six hours of imaging in all. Managed to catch five (you have to squint to see one of them.)

It's an improvement over my previous efforts at meteors. Good color on 'em! But I do wonder why they don't radiate in nice parallel lines from the radiant, like in the excellent images I've seen here. Maybe that's a good question to post in the appropriate forum. Anyway, I am encouraged by the improvement, and hope it all comes together for a shower soon - new moon, clear skies!
