Description

NGC 6820 is an open star cluster in Vulpecula. The cluster is embedded in a large faint emission nebula called Sh 2-86. The nebula is really very faint.
Even after these 5.25 h exposures shown here with an L-Extreme filter and an IMX571-OSC, the nebula was still quite noisy. Therefore the NoiseXTerminator was used exceptionally. The stars were removed with StarNet++ and later faded in again. Acquisition telescope was a Skywatcher 130PDS on a GP-DX without guiding.
Acquisition software was N.I.N.A., stacking was done in Affinity, processing in StarTools, fine tuning again in Affinity.
