Description

I've been out of astrophotography for a while due to life and weather. This shot has actually been in my staging area since late November. I couldn't decide if I liked it enough, but when compare to other pictures on Astrobin of the same region it holds its own.

You don't see this one imaged too much. It is sometimes called The Peanut Nebula. It is a reasonably faint and murky Ha object in Camelopardelis. There is very little signal in OIII, so I did not even use the OIII data that I had collected. I tried processing this more than once to remove the murk, and ended up getting pretty heavy handed with the noise reduction.

I used my C8 Hyperstar with the ASI2600 and NINA for the Ha, plus a Redcat with the ASI1600 and SGP for the stars.
