Description

This is  project started a few months ago and taken over several nights to capture Jones1 which is a very faint (mag 15) ghost-like planetary nebula in the constellation of Pegasus at 2300 to 2600 LY distance.  It was discovered in 1941 by the American astronomer Rebecca Jones on photo plates of the Harvard Observatory

OIII emission dominates thus the bluish color. Some faint H-alpha emissions are in and around the nebula with a dim spot of Ha emission to the left of nebula.  A very hot Central star can be seen as blue at the center of the Nebula.
