Description

A beautiful nebula in Gemini just 5000 light years from Earth. I like the details that show up very nicely in narrow band H alpha. Some of them looks like the tentacles of a jellyfish, and thus it is sometimes called the jellyfish nebula. The stars are from 28 minutes of RGB exposures with the same camera and telescope.

It was a bit tricky to process.  I wanted to keep as much details as possible in the nebula and still have the stars in color. I tried a, for me, new method of reducing the star size that I think worked quite well. Otherwise the nebula would have drowned in stars. I hope you like it.
