Description

A cluster of galaxies in Perseus. Challenging target but I like the results. Taken on night of Oct 29-30, 2022. It's also known as Abell 426. It's estimated to be 140 Mly away! The brightest member is NGC 1275, also known as Perseus A. The image was actually centered on the little spiral galaxy at the center of the picture -- NGC 1268 (UGC 2658). Imaging info: 113 30-sec exposures at iso 400.
