Description

"M 90 is a bright, beautiful spiral galaxy situated in the Virgo cluster of galaxies. Located in the constellation Virgo, this galaxy is approximately 59 million light-years away from Earth and has a magnitude of 9.5. M90 is believed to be breaking away from the rest of the galaxies in the Virgo cluster and is one of the few galaxies traveling toward our Milky Way galaxy, not away."  https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2018/messier-90

"M 89 is one of eight galaxies in the Virgo cluster that Charles Messier discovered in 1781. An elliptical galaxy, M89 is almost exactly circular. It is located about 50 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo. M89 contains approximately 100 billion stars and well over 2,000 globular clusters.
It was the first galaxy discovered to have an extended envelope, which means that it has a larger region of light surrounding it than other elliptical galaxies, most likely because of its high number of stars and globular clusters. At the center of M89 is a supermassive black hole estimated to have one billion times the mass of our Sun. "https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2018/messier-89

Maurizio collected data where several galaxies appear and are those that belong to the Virgo cluster of galaxies. Within this the M 90 and M 89 stand out.

It was a simple and relatively fast job, once I had done the stacks in DSS and Siril I made a mix of both stacks once each one was worked separately. It is interesting since each program reflects a different graininess and I like how the combination of both results is.

In the Versions part you can see other galaxies highlighted from the area with their corresponding annotations.
