Description

I had a break in the unrelenting clouds and finally got a few hours of data in this unusual area of the sky. This is an extensive Ha emission area in the constellation of Norma. The image comprises RCW106, which is a vast molecular cloud in the upper right, and a supernova remnant called RCW103 in the lower right. There is also a rarely imaged planetary nebula designated PK331-01.1 in the lower left of the image. I have no idea what the other structures are.
