Description

Setup

150/750MM Newtonian

Astromod Canon 600D + Optolong Enhanced 2'

This image was taken from my bakckyard, i use a old lxd meade 75 and in the south i couldnt see any star from my backyard .

So i the first star i could see watching south was Rasalhague.

So i focused my scope on that star, and wait straight away to the Eagle Nebula ( thats a big gap from Rasalhague ).

I did take my first shot an BAM ! there it was on the right of the picture, i was happy i could see it but now i have to managed to keep it in the center of the frame.

So after the single shot i made i did take a look on the picture and see where the bright stars where hidden.

So i hoped i could find a star in the same area on my liveview, but the nebula was playing hard to get .

I couldn't see any star on my liveview.

So i played with my handcontroller and listen to the engine of my mount how far it moved.

For in case it was out of my frame i needed to do the same in the oposite direction.

So the first time i try to do that tecnique, it was going out of my frame.

After every time i moved it a bit i taked a single shot to see where the nebula was.

it causted me 5 single shot to keep the nebula perfect in the middle of my frame.

MAAAAAAN i was happy to see it, perfectly in the middle of my frame.

I couldnt wait to take my first 60 sec subs and there it was, showing all the natural colours from the nebula and surrounding area aswell.

After all i am really happy with this picture
