Description

The eclipse is over, and it was great. It's time to spend a bit of effort on imaging H-alpha activity on the Sun. This was the first time in about four months. Fortunately the sun is approaching solar max and there is lots of  to image.

Conditions were not perfect but there was a nice dense cluster of sunspots that fit perfectly into my FOV. As a bonus, during my imaging that was a solar flare. I paused the animation to mark the event. I probably should have taken a few more captures during the flare. But by the time I realized what it was, it was over. Just have to be satisfied with getting it at all.

The animation pauses three seconds at the start and at the end, plus the three seconds to show the flare. Outside of the flare, there are just a few changes during the chapture. Watch it a few time watching the different parts to see more of the detail.

Anyway, enjoy the animation and send along any questions or comments.

Eric
