Description

52 million light years ,  that's how far the photons travelled before they reached the sensor of my astronomical camera. It is the most distant deep space object I have ever photographed. It is NGC4565, Needle Galaxy, a spiral galaxy observed in the direction of the constellation Berenice's Coma. Its shape and structure is very reminiscent of the Milky Way, and its position of observation, cut, allows us to admire its band of dark dust that characterize its appearance.
