Description

This whole field of view is so awesome, the subject galaxies and the background as well.
ARP 274 (The NGC 5679 Group) is a triplet of galaxies approximately 400 million light years away in Virgo.
The smaller galaxy NGC 5679C is showing what appears to be star formation regions.
At the upper portion of the frame is the very low surface brightness spiral PGC 52141 with an estimated magnitude of 17.
Imaged in LRGB on the Planewave CDK 1000 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
Image Data and masters preprocessing: Thank you to Mike Selby

Processed by me in Pixinsight and Photoshop.

This was a really difficult one for me to process and thanks to Mike who showed me stretching the Lum in ways that brought out the details as well as background. The galaxies are small so detail was a challenge!

I used a mix of STF, GHS, AutoHistogram, LHE and HDR and selectively blended the multiple lums using Pixelmath as well as Photoshop to get a Lum I liked.
Zooming in full size reveals the background better
