Description

The Omega (Swan) Nebula (HII region)

This bright and large star forming region lies around 5,500 light years from earth and its size is about 15 light-years in diameter.  It is one of the brightest and most massive star-forming regions of our galaxy.

I was very lucky to have 3 consecutive clear nights at a dark site and I collected enough RGB data for this object but i'm looking forward to shoot some Ha data to enhance the HII details.
