Description

sup guys,

Testing the coma corrector on the sw 8", the stars look really cool, I liked the result, and as a test image I decided to photograph this field full of stars.

The following image, however, is not of a random place in the galaxy, but of a region with an important characteristic for astronomy and astrophysics, this place is called Baade's Window, a place very close to the galactic equator that is not obscured by dust and gases present in abundance in the disk of the Milky Way, centered of the globular cluster NGC 6522, these two clusters are present in what we call the Galactic Bulge, a region close to the nucleus of spiral galaxies that is mostly inhabited by old stars , and therefore it is very difficult to visually define the edge of these globular clusters, as their stars quickly blend in with the thousands of stars around them. NGC 6522 is approximately two full moons in apparent size from the galactic nucleus, where our galaxy's supermassive black hole is located.

In the lower left corner, there is Sagittarius, Alnasl, the third brightest star in the constellation.

I hope you like the result. This image was captured by me and edited by Lucas Gonçalves Miranda.
