Description

Galaxy Season - M101 - The Pinwheel Galaxy is a face-on spiral galaxy 21 million light-years away from Earth in the constellation Ursa Major.

Using the Celestron Edge HD11 at its native F10 focal length is pretty tricky !!!! The Celestron Edge HD11 @ F10 really needs perfectly clear conditions and finally we did have some perfect;y clear skies here on the south coast of the UK, although we only get some 4hrs or less ot total darkness at this time of the year!

I decided to improve the guiding on my EQ6R-Pro by reverting to the Celestron OAG with an ASi174MM guide camera. The image processing in Pixinsight was a little rough and ready, making use of the "EZ" suite of tools - I will spend a bit more time processing when I get some more data
