Description

The Crescent Nebula, also known as NGC 6888, Is an emission nebula that’s really great. It’s located in the constellation Cygnus, And is formed by a star that’s really quite heinous. The nebula is about 5000 light-years away, And was discovered by Herschel one fine day. It’s formed by a fast stellar wind from a Wolf-Rayet star, Colliding with a slower wind, which is bizarre. The result of this collision is a shell and two shock waves, One moving outward and one inward, which behaves. The inward moving shock wave heats the stellar wind, To X-ray emitting temperatures, which is quite a find.

41 subs of 2 min in RGB filter for stars
129 subs of 2 min in Halpha 12nm for core nebula
6 subs of 4 min and 13 years of 10 min in OIII for the emission zone sensitive to this filter

In this project I have learned to use SubframeSelector, Cosmetic Correction, StarXterminator (thanks Carlos Luna) and the Project management tool.

If possible, turn off the ambient light, enlarge the image to full screen and zoom in... and enjoy.
