Description

I just will not apologize for the color saturation in this image. With all this beautiful narrowband data, who wants to be subtle??

This image was constructed using the method outlined in https://thecoldestnights.com/2020/06/pixinsight-dynamic-narrowband-combinations-with-pixelmath/
where dynamic combinations with SHO are used to construct an image. My initial target was to use the SHO data to get in the neighborhood of the white balanced RGB image, and then add RGB stars to that image at the appropriate phase of processing. Also, I used the Ha image as the luminance channel and this really brought out the details. I did a little tweaking of the expressions found in thecoldestnights.com method to get a little more blue.

Seeing was not great, but deconvolution of the starless image (created with StarXterminator) separately from deconvolution of the stars yielded a nice result to tighten up the details in the luminance channel. The RGB stars were extracted with StarXterminator in the linear state and combined via a re-screening Pixelmath expression with the Starless SHO linear image. Finally stretching of the Luminance, and color image were done with GeneralizedHyberbolicStretch, as well as the saturation of the combined stretched image.

I hope you enjoy.
