Description

I had a short window of clear but steady skies last night at dusk where I was able to get my 3x barlow in the imaging train. I used the best 20% 4387 total frames. By this time the slight haze in the air thickened and dropped me down to only 42 FPS using  my ProPlanet pass filter 642 nm.

I had a tracking issue as the moon was getting close to transiting the meridian and my limits that were set on the mount caused me to lose the tracking. By the time I got things back, the haze/clouds got too thick to continue, thus the very low frame rate and low amount of total frames I was able to use. Wish this didn't happen because the seeing was excellent!

This whole area is just loaded with incredible detail, and I'm blown away at how much detail I was able to pull with such little data! Aristoteles & friends, Mitchell & Eudoxus, are located on the edge of Mare Frigoris to the south of the Montes Alpes mountain range. The crater is 54 miles in diameter and at its deepest point is 2 miles. Friends Mitchell is 18 miles in diameter and Eudoxus is 41 miles in diameter respectively.
