Description

I ventured out to the Cygnus Constellation region of sky that I had not imaged before. This large 40arcmin by 20arcmin nebulous region is quite spectacular, and contains an abundance of H-Alpha. I framed the shot to put the star Sadr, a variable double star, close to the middle. I needed to do some additional testing on my Atlas AZ/EQ-G mount since I recently rebuilt it, so I switched from my smaller EQ-G mount that I typically use for wide-field imaging. It worked well and seems to be much quieter after the overhaul. Even with the moon up and at 75% illumination, my small ASIAIR Pro did an excellent job with tracking, platesolving, guiding and acquisition!
