This is one of my first images taken with the ASI 6200, short RGB exposures mixed with the OIII channel. Wanted to take more but since then the skies opened up (now 7 weeks and counting, with a Hurricane in sight ...) I do not think that I will get more data of this target this year. But of course I cannot resist to at least see what I can get out of the remaining data, slim picking now, time for fall to arrive (I know ... a lot of people love the summer, so I guess it is ok, as long as there are many clear nights in Fall 😊).
The final image is heavily cropped since Abell 39 is pretty small, and with the huge 6200 sensor it seemed that almost nothing was left of the image.
I finally got a new plate for my ATIK filter wheel so that I can use the full M48 opening of the flattener/reducer in my setup (
