Description

We had a perfectly clear night but also an atmosphere full of wild fire smoke so it wasn't obvious what, if anything, would be worth imaging. The sky quality meter was reading half a magnitude brighter than normal and when I went out ad looked at the sky I saw very few stars making for some wretched transparency. But, someone mentioned the supernova and I figured I should at least try. It was less than two hours of integration but even in a single sub, the supernova was obvious. And, actually for less than two hours, it isn't too bad!

I wasn't trying to get creative as I didn't have a lot of data to try to tease out faint detail. Really I just wanted an obvious galaxy to provide context for the supernova.
