Description

Methusela Nebula   PK080-10.1
MWP 1 is a rarely-imaged faint bi-polar planetary nebula in the constellation of Cygnus. It is also known as The Methuselah Nebula. It is 4,500 light years from Earth. It is estimated to be 150,000 years old and has a diameter of 15 light years and appears 15 arc minutes wide as viewed from the Earth.

A bipolar nebula is a type of nebula characterized by two lobes either side of a central star. About 10-20% of planetary nebulae are bipolar. (Internet)

This image was more difficult than I anticipated and required a second night of additional O3 to get enough detail.  All data was Bin 2x2
