Description

This was a one off chance to capture these two together.
I only managed 44 subs of one minute each before the seeing got too bad.
I've only just got round to getting a useful result (October 2023) when compared to everyone else on Astrobin.
The processing sequence was quite convoluted and is as follows:
1. Stack groups of 5 subs so that the comet has not moved much.
2. Enhance each of the groups with simple levels and curves corrections.
3. Pass each group through Starnet++ to get starless images.
4. Subtract the starless images from the groups to get stars only images.
5. Stack the images from 4. in Deep Sky Stacker to get one enhanced image of the stars and process this a bit further.
6. Take the images from 3. above and hand align and stack to make a stacked image of the comet.
7. Process the image from 6. and enhance further with noise attenuation and sharpening.
8. Add 7. to 5. and finish off with minor adjustments.
Took me most of a day to process this but I'm now happy with it.
Hope you like it
