Description

Messier 63, aka the Sunflower Galaxy, is located in the Canes Venatici constellation and is located roughly 37 million light-years from Earth . M63, also known as NGC 5055 was discovered in 1779 by the French astronomer Pierre Méchain and was the first of 24 objects that Méchain would contribute to Charles Messier’s catalog.

I was able to image this over several nights although the last few sessions were impacted by the Canadian fires.
