Description

SO MANY GALAXIES!

I have tried to shoot NGC 891 about 4 times in my astrophotography journey, and not once have I actually got a good image of it.

I centered the star HIP 11185 as my focus point so that I'd both have a bright star that I can focus on, and have a center of rotation, where I can frame the galaxies around.

The night was good, and I averaged about .3" guiding. I imaged for about 6 hours, but the kicker is- a good portion of that time was spent autofocusing, making sure my focus was sharp across the entire night.

I've also never taken a better set of flat frames EVER.

And if you're wondering: "Wheres the filter?", I offer a simple explanation-  Oranges and yellows.
