Description

In the middle of the "Markarians Chain", part of the Virgo Cluster lies that wonderful pair of galaxies known as NGC 4435/NGC 4438 or ARP120. Especially NGC 4438 is a wouderful example of a peculiar galaxy due to its interacting and deformed shape. The galaxy is under investigation to clarify their physical properties more in detail.

The image is the result of an imaging run at our remote observatory in Namibia. Many thanks to Jens and Sophie for their effort, help and support!
