Description

It hasn't been a great summer or early fall for imaging for me for a number of reasons, so when opportunity knocked, I opened the door. It meant shooting this right around full moon in September, so adding the insult of a nearby Moon to an already challenging location in my sky from 46.5N and an imaging window cut even smaller by trees.

Enough whining. Here's my take on the Helix in HOO with 17x5minutes of useable Ha data and 11x5minutes of useable Oiii, processed in PixInsight using RC NXT and GHS among other tools. Clearly not the greatest image; needs more integration time for sure and without the added lunar input! I won't mention other flaws or shortcomings that I know of , but if you have any constructive criticisms or comments, please don't hesitate to let me have it!
