Description

NGC 2403 (Caldwell 7) is about 8 million light-years away and some 50,000 light years wide and is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Camerlopardalis.  It contains numerous star-forming HII regions (appearing red in the photograph).  The northern spiral arm connects it to the star forming region NGC 2404.
